Jeff Zweifel is a 1987 graduate of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was admitted to practice law in the state of Minnesota in 1987, and is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association. He received a bachelor’s degree in 1984 from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. Mr. Zweifel has a general law practice background with an emphasis in real estate law. He has also acted as general counsel for a title insurance agency for more than ten years.
For the past three years, Mr. Zweifel has focused his law practice on settlement negotiations with lenders for individuals who are selling distressed real property. He is the managing principal of the firm’s short sale representation department. Mr. Zweifel is a frequent lecturer on the topic of short sales.
Mr. Zweifel is married and the father of two children. His interests include fishing and other sports. His home town is Marshall, Minnesota.
John Markve grew up in Buffalo, MN and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. In 1995, John graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He was admitted to practice law in California in 1995 and Minnesota in 1996.
Prior to forming Markve and Zweifel, PLLC in 2006, John worked at an estate planning boutique law firm located in Wayzata, MN, a prominent condominium / townhome association law firm in Eden Prairie, MN and a general practice law firm in Plymouth, MN.
John represents individuals and businesses in the areas of estate planning, probate, small business matters and townhome association law.
John lives in Maple Grove with his wife and three children. When he is not at work, John likes to spend time with his family.
Attorney, Patrick Harrigan, has over 12 years experience with residential and commercial real estate transactions. He has a Bachelor of Science Cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and received his law degree Cum Laude at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, MN. Patrick began his career in commercial land acquisition and has since focused on residential title and closing, as well as exchanges of real estate. He has taught real estate classes in the areas of general real estate law, agent listing agreements, tax deferred exchanges, title insurance, and closings to real estate agents, attorneys, real estate investors and homeowners. He is a member of the state bar of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Patrick joined Markve and Zweifel in 2010 as Managing Attorney on the short sale practice team. Markve and Zweifel’s short sale team assists clients by negotiating a settlement of the client’s mortgage loans which allows an “underwater” property to be sold. Patrick advises clients on the legal and practical aspects of short sales including deficiency obligations, foreclosure laws, tax consequences, contract law, sale timing, bankruptcy effects, debt collection law, title issues and closing procedures.
Patrick is the proud father of triplets and enjoys spending very busy time with his wife and children.
Kassandra Heinrich grew up in Orono, Minnesota. After completing degrees in Finance and Marketing from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business, she returned to Minnesota to attend law school. In 2014, Kassandra received her law degree from Hamline University. At Markve & Zweifel, she works primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate, and real property transactions.
Prior to practicing law Kassandra worked in marketing and compliance roles for educational institutions, financial services and health care organizations. Outside of the office, Kassandra serves as a Board Member for the Trinity Foundation, and leads mission trips to Central America. She is also a Kern Scholar at Bethel Seminary where she is working towards her M.Div.
