Short Sale Program Coordinator / Legal Assistant
Wendy Haisley became a licensed Realtor in 1978 in Grand Forks, ND, specializing in residential real estate sales after attending the University of North Dakota. In the middle 80’s, Wendy managed a large team of women in the direct sales industry in the Dakotas, Montana, and Minnesota. In 1987, she moved with her family to the Twin Cities and worked as a licensed Realtor again in Minnesota for 20 years focusing mostly on new construction residential home sales.
Wendy joined Jeff Zweifel in 2009 to help build the short sale program at Markve and Zweifel Law Firm. What began with just the attorney and his assistant has now grown to be the largest short sale negotiation team in the state of Minnesota representing over 3,000 homeowners to successful closing of their short sale transaction.
Wendy commonly lectures at real estate brokerages throughout the Twin Cities on the topic of short sales as well as instructing classes bi-weekly for real estate agents that refer their sellers to the law firm for representation. She also works short sale files herself to keep up to date with the most current changes with lenders, mortgage investors, and seller eligibility requirements. The part of her job she enjoys the most is calling the homeowners to inform them their short sale was approved and the debt forgiven.
When she can get away from the office, Wendy can be found on the golf course working on her game or at home spending time with her family that includes her husband, Gale, four grown children, and ten grandchildren. She enjoys cooking and baking and her specialty is her homemade Christmas cookies.
You can reach Wendy at 763-450-1624 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
